Verdict

Metrics show strong value for budget minded patients who are comfortable with compounded GLP-1 or GIP therapy. Flat consult pricing and frequent promotions reduce the cost of early titration.Quality controls include licensed prescribers and pharmacy partners plus a lab requirement within twelve months for weight loss care. Onboarding is fast with most approvals in twenty-four to seventy-two hours. The limitations are strict refund rules and variable pricing at higher doses. Best-fit users want clear menus and self-service support. Those who only want brand-name drugs should consider alternatives and ask about monitoring and labs.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Prices and service menus are visible before payment
  • Approvals commonly complete within three days

Cons

  • Compounded GLP-1 pricing rises at higher doses

How We Evaluated Pomegranate

We focused on the patient journey from the first click to the first refill. Our team documented the intake, identity verification, scheduling, consent, and payment screens with time stamps. We captured consult prices across services and built test carts for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide at starter and advanced tiers. We verified that safety information appears before payment and that the portal offers messaging and record access after checkout. We measured the time to approval by submitting identical cases with and without recent labs to understand friction and decision windows. For brand pathways, we followed the referral to retail to assess how the process differs from direct-to-consumer fulfillment. All findings are presented as AllyRx research.

Pricing data were captured multiple times to control for day-to-day changes. We logged the presence of promotions and checked whether a membership was required to redeem them. To evaluate quality, we reviewed clinician credential language, pharmacy disclosure, and statements about compounded medication status and risk.We submitted two low-risk tickets and one adverse effect scenario to test support responsiveness and escalation. We confirmed that lab recency was enforced for weight loss and noted the window to complete labs when not available at the visit. Shipping timelines were measured from payment to carrier scan and from scan to delivery at two addresses in different regions. We closed with a cross-check of policies on refunds, reships, and issue reporting windows.

  • Verified state-licensed pharmacy disclosure at checkout
  • Measured support response time: 7 hours median

Pricing

22 / 25

Pricing receives a 22 out of 25 because Pomegranate posts consult fees up front and runs promotions that we can verify. Weight loss consults display 75 dollars. Nutrition consults display 50 dollars.Compounded semaglutide starts at 179 dollars for a single vial and 399 dollars for a three-vial bundle. Tirzepatide starter tiers run 199 dollars per month and 399 dollars for a three-month pack. Advanced tiers show 229 dollars per month and 499 dollars for three months.Shipping adds at checkout and ranged from 10 to 25 dollars in our carts. Brand drug costs are routed through retail and may be higher. We did not see membership required for promotional bundles as of October 3, 2025.Price visibility is strong at the service page and checkout yet pricing does step up as dose increases in month two and month three. There is no refund on consults or medication once a pharmacy receives the order, which matters for buyers who expect flexibility. A separate coordination fee applies if you request a specific pharmacy. We count the clarity as a strength and the rapid dose-linked price lift as the main limitation. Overall transparency offsets the small print and earns an above-average score.

Quality

17 / 20

Quality scores 17 out of 20 based on clinician oversight, pharmacy disclosure, and safety messaging observed across onboarding and the patient portal. Licensed nurse practitioners and physicians review intake information and decide eligibility.Weight management requires recent labs within the past twelve months or completion within ninety days after the visit. Safety pages explain contraindications including medullary thyroid carcinoma risk family history, pregnancy, pancreatitis, and severe gastrointestinal disease.Dosing guidance follows a typical titration from low to moderate doses with adjustments based on tolerance and weight trend. Pomegranate discloses that compounded GLP-1 and GIP medications are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The program states it uses a registered outsourcing facility and state-licensed pharmacies for dispensing. Adverse events are routed to the prescriber, and off-hours issues are triaged through messaging with follow up during clinic hours. We would like to see more detail on repeat monitoring cadence and named compounding partners on the public site. Even with those gaps, the combination of credentialed prescribers, a lab requirement, and clear risk language supports a high but not perfect quality score.

Onboarding

12 / 15

Onboarding earns 12 out of 15 and is one of the fastest in our tests. The intake takes around ten to fifteen minutes and covers health history, medications, allergies, weight trend, and goals.Identity verification uses standard photo ID upload and a live selfie. Scheduling offers same-week video visits with time slots across business hours. The consult length is fifteen to twenty minutes.Eligibility decisions arrive within twenty-four to seventy-two hours depending on volume and whether labs are already available. If a prescription is appropriate, the order is transmitted to a partner pharmacy on the same day.Checkout shows itemized costs before payment. New users receive portal access for messages, records, and tracking. Disqualifiers include pregnancy, uncontrolled endocrine conditions, and a history that flags high risk for adverse events. If a case is borderline, the clinician may request labs before approval or adjust the plan to a non-incretin option such as metformin. The primary friction points are the strict refund policy and the short window to report shipping issues. Still, the low number of steps and the quick handoff to fulfillment make onboarding efficient for most people.

Medication Options

12 / 15

Medication options are focused rather than expansive, which earns 12 out of 15. The program centers on semaglutide and tirzepatide within our canonical list, offered as brand when eligible or as compounded formulations when appropriate. The typical dose range for semaglutide moves from 0.25 milligrams weekly to 2.4 milligrams with adjustments based on tolerance. Tirzepatide follows a titration from 2.5 milligrams to 15 milligrams.Adjuncts such as metformin and topiramate can be used when clinically indicated to improve appetite control or metabolic markers. We count four to six distinct options inside the weight loss category when we include brand and compounded routes.Clear disclosure states that compounded medications are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration and that quality depends on the pharmacy and the outsourcing facility. Dose clarity is adequate, yet concentration detail and mixing instructions for compounded vials could be more explicit for new patients. The focus helps navigation and reduces decision overload, but it leaves fewer choices than broad marketplaces. Most patients who want either semaglutide or tirzepatide will have a path.

Shipping & Fulfillment

9 / 10

Shipping and fulfillment score 9 out of 10. After approval, the partner pharmacy ships with tracking and a link appears in the portal.Standard delivery reached our test addresses in two to five business days depending on distance and weather. Refrigerated items ship with insulated packaging and cold packs.Signatures were not required in our tests, though carriers may request an adult signature for certain items. The site lists national coverage, but some states may be excluded during supply swings.Refill timing is set by the prescription and dose plan, and many patients will reorder every four weeks. Address changes and reships are governed by the strict policy that requires issues to be reported quickly, usually within twenty-four hours of delivery. The pharmacy can coordinate replacements for temperature excursions if documented. Overall reliability is solid and the portal simplifies tracking. We deduct one point for the narrow issue reporting window and for occasional variability in inventory that can extend timelines at higher doses.

Customer Support

7 / 10

Customer support scores 7 out of 10. Channels include a support email, a phone line, and secure portal messaging. In our timing tests during September and October we saw median replies under eight hours during business days and slower responses on weekends. The portal message system handled clinical follow up and non-clinical billing questions while email was used for order status and pharmacy coordination.Escalation to a clinician occurred within one business day when we flagged a potential side effect. There is no live chat widget on all pages, though the portal experience is straightforward. The policies are strict, and refunds are generally not provided once a consult has occurred or a pharmacy has received an order. That rigidity places pressure on support to resolve issues quickly, and the team does respond, but the policy itself limits outcomes.Publishing staffed hours more prominently and adding a live chat option would raise confidence further. As it stands, the experience is responsive but policy constrained.

Usability & Experience

5 / 5

Usability and experience receive 5 out of 5. The site presents a clear service menu with prices shown before booking. The booking widget displays available times and collects the minimum information needed to start. Checkout provides a full breakdown of consult fees, medication charges, shipping, and any promotion credits with no surprise add-ons later.Mobile pages are responsive and easy to read. Account creation is simple and the portal centralizes messages, records, and tracking in one place.Cancellation and rescheduling are accessible from confirmation emails and the account area, although last-minute changes can incur fees. Accessibility basics such as contrast and font size are handled well in our tests. The overall flow feels modern and quick, which reduces abandonment. A more prominent link to safety information on every service page would help first-time visitors. Even so, the experience is among the better ones we have evaluated in this category.

Friendly gut health consult

LongevityVitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)

Pomegranate Health focused on my digestion issues without pushing meds I did not need. The clinician sent a grocery list and stress tips that fit my routine and the follow-up call checked that I could stick with it.

Pros

Personalized gut health plan, gentle follow-ups, and practical grocery ideas made changes doable.

Cons

Digestive plan that finally made sense

LongevityVitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)

Pomegranate Health started by mapping my food log and stress triggers before suggesting anything new. The clinician highlighted which meals to adjust and sent swaps I could prep in under ten minutes. She explained the gut protocol in plain language and set expectations for when bloating should ease. Weekly check-ins asked how travel and sleep were going, not just what I ate. When mild cramps showed up she tweaked timing and added a magnesium reminder that helped the next day. A month later my digestion feels predictable and I am not guessing what to cook.

Pros

Attentive clinician, clear meal swaps, and supportive check-ins.

Cons

I still wish the app synced with my fitness tracker.

Rigid, Not helpful, Don't Care

I never got past trying to schedule. I scheduled an appt for 8:05 am but only after I scheduled it did the app ask me what time zone. I assumed it was just putting my 8:05 appt in my calendar. I went to bed woke up and my appt reminder said 10:05. Oops, I couldn't do that. I contacted the provider who tried to change it but couldn’t and had me call their office number. The woman on the phone tells me I had to pay $50!!!! I calmly explained what happened but she repeated to me ‘according to the terms of the agreement’ more times than I could count….i tried to appeal to her humanity and rationale which she had none of either. Do NOT use these people. What a joke. I’ll be contacting my bank to get back my original $75 as well because they didn’t provide any service.

Pros

Literally None

Rigid rules made dose changes frustrating

GLP-1 & Weight Loss

GLP-1 helped my appetite, but dealing with dose changes was frustrating. I asked about slowing down because I was feeling side effects, and the response felt rigid. Policies were explained in a way that felt like 'no' first, help second. Also, messaging took longer than I needed when I was trying to make a decision that week. It might work if you never need adjustments, but I did. overall it just stressed me out.

Pros

The medication did reduce appetite and cravings.

Cons

Rigid policies and slow messaging made dose adjustments frustrating.

Finally found a provider that gets it

GLP-1 & Weight LossSemaglutide

This is hands down the best telehealth experience I've had for weight loss medication. I've tried three other providers before Pomegranate and the difference is night and day. The intake process took maybe 15 minutes, and I had a prescription within 48 hours. What really sets them apart is the follow up care. My provider actually reads my check in messages and adjusts dosing based on how I'm feeling, not just hitting arbitrary milestones. Shipping was fast, packaging was discreet, and the medication itself has been amazing. Down 18 lbs in two months with minimal nausea once I started the nausea protocol they recommended.

Pros

Responsive provider, fast shipping, personalized care

Cons

Wish they had an app for tracking
