Verdict

Traditional tone: The evidence is clear. Hers offers a broad, medical-first weight loss pathway that pairs GLP-1 injections with oral alternatives and structured app support. Pricing is transparent at checkout but hinges on multi‑month prepay terms for the lowest rates. Compounded GLP‑1s remain an option through select states with prominent safety disclaimers, while brand‑name GLP‑1 pricing is materially higher. Make no mistake: cancellation and refunds are conservative, and action 48 hours before processing is required. The bottom line: for patients seeking structured telehealth care with rapid shipping and 24/7 messaging, Hers is a strong, clinically anchored option, provided you understand prepayment, availability, and regulatory nuances. (hers)

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Wide range of options: compounded and brand GLP‑1s plus oral kits
  • Free shipping that usually arrives in about two days
  • 24/7 provider messaging with guided starts and app‑based education

Cons

  • Lowest prices require multi‑month prepay and vary by state availability
  • Compounded GLP‑1s are not FDA‑approved and face evolving oversight
  • Refunds for partially used periods are uncommon and cancellations are time‑sensitive

Research & Methodology

Our team audited Hers’ weight loss flow end‑to‑end: intake, provider review, checkout, fulfillment, and app onboarding. Pricing is prominently displayed across a dedicated drug‑pricing page and the main weight loss hub. We observed oral medication kits starting at $69 per month with a 10‑month plan paid upfront, compounded GLP‑1s starting at $199 per month with a 12‑month upfront plan, and brand‑name GLP‑1 listings priced in the $1,799 to $1,899 range. The platform flags FSA/HSA eligibility and presents safety disclaimers for compounded products at the point of sale. (hers)

Shipping and access: Hers states shipping is free and usually two days, with temperature‑controlled packaging when appropriate, though timing is not guaranteed. We confirmed GLP‑1 shipments cannot be delivered to PO Boxes. The help center outlines tracking, and the app centralizes messaging and follow‑up. Within the app, patients get guided start videos, meal plans, high‑protein recipes, habit trackers, meditation content, and CBT‑style modules without extra cost, which helps bridge lifestyle and pharmacotherapy. (hers)

Policies: Subscriptions auto‑renew unless canceled at least 48 hours before the next processing date. The cancellation article specifies multi‑step in‑app and web flows and clarifies that canceling a subscription will not halt an order already processing. The Terms note that partial‑period refunds are generally not offered, with case‑by‑case discretion. Privacy materials include a 2025 Privacy Policy, a Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and a Medical Groups HIPAA Notice that details rights and typical use cases. (Hims)

Clinical framing and the market context: Hers’ clinical content aligns with labeled titration for semaglutide, and the platform emphasizes provider‑directed adjustments. Compounded GLP‑1s are clearly identified as non‑FDA‑approved. Since February 2025, regulators declared key brand shortages resolved and have increased scrutiny of compounded GLP‑1s. We treat this as a dynamic risk that may alter availability or pricing. We also note external reporting of regulatory inquiries into advertising and cancellation practices, another reason to read terms closely before selecting plan lengths. (hers)

Pricing

21 / 25

Our analysis of Hers pricing shows two tiers: aggressive prepaid rates for compounded GLP‑1s and oral kits, and materially higher prices for brand‑name GLP‑1s. Compounded semaglutide is advertised from $199 per month with a 12‑month plan paid upfront, while brand listings such as Ozempic and Zepbound appear at $1,799 to $1,899 per month. Oral kits start at $69 per month with a 10‑month prepay. FSA/HSA eligibility helps, but the lowest headline prices depend on upfront commitment and state access. Transparency at checkout is strong, yet cross‑page price messaging can vary. Net: very competitive for compounded and oral options; standard to premium for brands. (hers)

Quality

18 / 20

The platform follows evidence‑based dosing for semaglutide, typically starting at 0.25 mg weekly with stepwise escalations. Brand‑name GLP‑1s retain FDA approval and labeled dosing; compounded GLP‑1s are clearly labeled as not FDA‑approved, with sourcing described from regulated facilities and supplies bundled in shipments. Providers adjust dosing and offer anti‑nausea support if eligible. The safety message is consistent: medical eligibility first, ongoing monitoring, and side‑effect management. Regulatory fluidity around compounded GLP‑1s introduces risk, but disclosures are prominent. For patients prioritizing FDA‑approved products exclusively, expect higher costs. (hers)

Onboarding

14 / 15

Hers pairs asynchronous clinical visits with unlimited provider messaging and guided starts, then ships discreetly and quickly. Shipping is free and usually two days, with temperature‑controlled packaging when appropriate, and tracking is provided. GLP‑1s cannot ship to PO Boxes, a minor limitation. The app adds nutrition plans, high‑protein recipes, trackers, and CBT‑style modules that help adherence during titration. Compared with traditional clinics, setup and refills are notably faster, and the educational content reduces first‑dose anxiety. Availability varies by state for compounded GLP‑1s, which can briefly slow access. Overall convenience is excellent for most patients. (hers)

Medication Options

13 / 15

Available options include: Compounded semaglutide, Custom kit, Liraglutide, Mounjaro, Ozempic, Zepbound.

Shipping & Fulfillment

7 / 10

Shipping speed and processing timelines vary by therapy and inventory; while fulfillment is generally straightforward (provider approval → pharmacy → shipment), specific windows were not consistent in public materials.

Customer Support

7 / 10

Public signals are mixed but improving. Hers maintains an A+ BBB rating with a persistent pattern of complaints about cancellations and refunds. Trustpilot shows an average rating near mid‑3s with active company replies to negative reviews. Shipping speed and access to messaging are frequent positives in recent commentary. The company has also drawn regulatory attention regarding advertising and cancellation practices, which we consider a watch item rather than a verdict. On balance, patient‑level convenience is strong, while administrative friction remains the main detractor. (Better Business Bureau)

Usability & Experience

4 / 5

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, when used as directed by licensed providers. Hers offers FDA‑approved brands like Ozempic, Zepbound, and Mounjaro alongside compounded semaglutide with clear disclosures that compounded products are not FDA‑approved. Clinical materials reflect standard starting doses and provider‑guided titration, and shipments include supplies and education. The app provides 24/7 messaging and guided starts to manage side effects and adherence. As with any medical therapy, eligibility, monitoring, and dose adjustments are individualized. Patients who prefer only FDA‑approved products should select brand options and budget accordingly. (hers)

Expect two tiers. Oral kits start at $69 per month with a 10‑month plan paid upfront. Compounded GLP‑1 injections are advertised from $199 per month with a 12‑month upfront plan, subject to state availability. Brand GLP‑1s listed on the Hers site are significantly higher, e.g., Ozempic at $1,799 per month and Zepbound or Mounjaro at $1,899 per month. The site also highlights FSA/HSA eligibility. Final pricing appears as an all‑in total at checkout, and shipping is included. Lowest advertised prices require prepayment. (hers)

Hers states shipping is free and usually takes about two days, though delivery times are not guaranteed. Temperature‑controlled packaging is used when appropriate. Tracking details are sent after shipment, and you can monitor status in your account. Note that GLP‑1 medications cannot be shipped to PO Boxes due to temperature restrictions. Packaging is discreet. Plan for possible variance by carrier and location, and ensure someone can refrigerate temperature‑sensitive items on arrival. (hers)

Subscriptions auto‑renew unless you cancel at least 48 hours before your next order’s processing date. Cancel via the app or website by navigating to Subscriptions and completing the prompts. Canceling a subscription does not stop an order already processing or shipped. Hers’ Terms state that refunds for partially used subscription periods are generally not offered, though case‑by‑case discretion may apply. Read the policy closely before choosing longer prepay terms. (Hims)

Not always. Hers does not universally require baseline labs for every patient, and requirements can vary by state and clinical scenario. Your provider may request labs based on history, comorbidities, or medication choice. The platform’s focus is on medical eligibility, safe titration, and follow‑up. If you want a baseline metabolic panel or A1C for your own tracking, discuss it during intake; many clinicians consider labs helpful but do not mandate them for every case. (hers)

Good weight loss support, mild side effects

GLP-1 & Weight Loss

I'm on the GLP-1 weight loss program and it's been mostly positive. Appetite is lower and I don't think about food all day, which is new for me. Side effects were mild, mostly a queasy feeling the day after dosing, and it improved over time. I appreciate that they check in and don't make it sound like a miracle. One star off because the cost adds up and I wish there were more nutrition guidance.

Pros

Appetite and cravings reduced with mild side effects that improved over time.

Cons

Cost adds up and program nutrition guidance felt light.

Clear steps and receipt matched what I saw before

GLP-1 & Weight LossSemaglutide

Steps after the visit were clear and the receipt matched the pre-visit estimate. I received a written summary right away with the exact next steps and links to helpful resources. The billing breakdown matched what I saw before booking, including timing. Notifications were spaced reasonably and made it simple to track progress without constant logins. When I sent a quick question through the portal, support responded the same day with a precise answer. Everything felt organized, predictable, and easy to follow.

Pros

Clear next steps and accurate receipt.

Cons

Limited weekend phone hours.

The clinician swapped supplements based on my check-ins and I fall asleep faster without morning grogginess. I even got a reminder to pause when my labs looked perfect.

Pros

Support tailors adjustments to lab data and lifestyle.

Cons

Shipping windows are early morning only in my area.

Finally a weight loss option designed with women in mind

GLP-1 & Weight LossSemaglutide

I was hesitant about telehealth weight loss programs but Hers made me feel comfortable from the start. The intake asked about my menstrual cycle, hormonal history, and how my weight fluctuates throughout the month. Things other providers never considered. My provider understood that women's weight loss journeys are different. Started on a lower dose than most protocols because of my body size and it was the right call with minimal side effects and steady progress. The app is beautiful and makes tracking easy. Love that this feels like a women's health company, not just weight loss with pink branding.

Pros

Women centered approach, intuitive app, thoughtful dosing

Cons

Slightly pricier than some alternatives
